What is MyCERT List

MyCERT List is a moderated discussion list on general ICT security issues.

What are the appropriate contents?

Please follow the guidelines below regarding appropriate information that can be posted on the MyCERT List:

* Information on computer or network related security vulnerabilities (UNIX, Windows NT, or any other).
* Patches, workarounds, fixes.
* Announcements, advisories or warnings.
* Ideas, future plans or current works dealing with computer/network security.
* Individual experiences in dealing with above vendors or security organizations.
* Incident advisories or informational reporting.
* New or updated security tools.

What is inappropriate content?

* Product advertisements.
* Materials unrelated to computer or network security.
* Information about yet another trojan or virus, unless it is widely deployed in the wild.

Is the list moderated?

Yes.

Who is the moderator?

CyberSecurity Malaysia team. Can be reached at moderator [at] mycert.org.my.

When did MyCERT List become moderated?

MyCERT List became moderated on the 13th of August, 2001. The list became moderated after the noise level became unacceptable.
